**40ft mooring included with the sale** Picture the scene: you meander down a veiled laurel-bounded and ivy-edged trail, soon arriving at this charming wood lodge, nestled on a stunning riverside plot, with your own private mooring. This could be your reality here at Kingfisher Lodge.

At the end of the gated path, you’re immediately greeted by the grand veranda. From here and to two sides of the cabin is a spacious deck, where you can survey your panoramic surroundings up and down the River Great Ouse and across to an expanse of trees. It’s romantic, tranquil, and enchanting.

The gardens begin immediately off the path. The highest tier is planted with rose and rosemary, the next is gravelled. The third is paved with a circular patio, with stone steps down to the fourth, which is shielded by a magnificent fir, bamboo and a mature tree. And finally, you reach the riverbank. Here there’s a mooring of over 40 ft. Lighting helps guide you in after a day spent on the water. And the cabin sat elevated and inspiring invites you inside.

An entrance porch affords the space to kick of your muddy boots and hang up your coats in the useful cupboard. All-encompassing logs are omnipresent, and the woody scent is wonderfully rich. Coming into the living accommodation, triple aspects and high ceilings bring light and airiness to the snug, intimate space. The lounge area has a log fire, and there’s also an air conditioning/heating unit for swift warmth or cooling. French doors give easy access out onto the deck, where you can appreciate the scenic outlooks.

The sizeable alcove is an ideal dining area, to enjoy meals before you retire fireside in the lounge area.
The separate kitchen is fitted in a good level of cupboards, drawers, open shelving and laminate worksurfaces. Matching splashbacks protect the wooden walls, and a breakfast bar is the perfect size for two people. There’s an inset sink and drainer, plus space for an oven and two or three further appliances such as an under-counter fridge and a washing machine.

For sleeping quarters, the bedroom is a generous size. There’s capacity for wardrobes and drawers. The bed area set under the window delivers the opportunity to wake up each and every day to captivating views of the river, to the sounds of the birds in the trees, and perhaps to wandering wildlife just outside. Completing the accommodation is the adjoining shower room, comprising a wc, a sink and a double shower cubicle. Again with a window to take in the views at every chance.

The property has lain successfully on the rental market over recent years, and continues to offer fantastic potential for both long- and short-term lets, particularly holiday lets, due to its alluring atmosphere and waterside position.

Parking is available to a communal area, where there are ample spaces. For access to the address, for residents and visitors alike, there are local, national and international transport connections, by car, train, and plane—or by boat of course. The property is near to major road networks, Bedford rail station and Luton airport.

The locality of Renhold has a Post Office, a village hall, a pub and a farm shop. Only a little further out is Bedford town centre within 15 minutes, and the City of Milton Keynes within 30 minutes, each for comprehensive shopping, dining and entertainment. Although why you’d want to step away from the beautiful domain of Kingfisher Lodge remains a mystery…
